Velneshwar is located on the way to Tavsal jetty from Guhagar just a kilometer off the main road. Velneshwar is approximately 15 kilometers from Guhagar. Velneshwar is located about 15 kilometers from Guhagar. The two major reason why one would visit Velneshwar from Guhagar is the Shiva mandir and the beautiful stretch of pristine Velneshwar beach.

Velneshwar has one of the most secluded and pristine beaches in the entire Konkan stretch sequestered between Guhagar and Ganpatipule. A small stretch of beach with very few tourists Velneshwar, is the beach destination in Konkan that you need to head to if you are looking for some time away from everything.

Velneshwar hasnt been been spoken about much apart from the Velneshwar Shiva Temple which is flocked by hundreds of devotees during the Maha - Shivratri festival. The Velneshwar Shiva temple is located right at the mouth of the way leading to the pristine Velneshwar beach. The village is built around this ancient temple. The deep stambh is the first thing that one would notice of the temple. Velneshwar temple is dedicated to Shiva and there are multiple smaller temples within the temple complex dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Ganesha and Kala Bhairav. The Velneshwar temple was recently painted and currently has a very contemporary and bright color scheme.
